The X Factor production team have announced they will be including Chesterfield in their tour of the UK to scout for new entrants for the Saturday prime time television talent show.
The team will be hosting an Open Mic night at Real Time Live on Wednesday 8th February to discover whether Chesterfield really does have the X Factor.
The X Factor team’s visit was announced on Real Time Live’s Facebook page on 13th January, and the available slots were all fully booked up by the following day, such was the excitement generated by the post.
Niki Stephenson, owner of Real Time Live, welcomes everyone to attend the Open Mic night to support the entrants, saying, “The doors and bar will be open from 6:30pm on the 8th February and it’s free entry to all. We’re looking forward to a great evening, and hopefully seeing many of our talented students and singers from the local area progress through to the next stage of the auditions.
“For those who didn’t get onto the list, there is a slight possibility of additional audition slots being available on the night. We can’t promise you’ll get to sing if your name isn’t already down, but if you’re a budding artist or group and believe you have what it takes to win, then please do come along!”
A spokesperson from Talkback Thames commented, “We are really excited to visit Real Time Live as part of our regional tour to find talented vocalists aged 16+ for the next series of X Factor. A film crew will be present on the night and each act will be filmed. We’ll also be chatting to as many acts as possible after they’ve performed.
“We’re looking forward to what should be an amazing evening of talent!”
